VBS2Fusion is designed to run on any machine capable of running VSB2. Specifications for running a VSB2Fusion plugin are therefore identical to those required for VSB2. VSB2Fusion plugins can be developed and compiled on any Windows machine on which Microsoft Visual Studio (2005, 2008 and 2010).
Specifications for using VSB2Fusion developer libraries
Basic requirements for creating and compiling VSB2Fusion plugins are identical to those required for running Microsoft Visual Studio. The present version of VBS2Fusion has been fully tested and validated for compatibility with Microsoft Visual Studio versions 2005, 2008 and 2010.

Specifications for VBS2
VBS2 is designed to run on a wide range of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) computer systems readily available from many vendors. The graphics-intensive requirements however dictate special consideration to certain components such as the video card models configured in the system. These updated system requirements provide a streamlined overview of a recommended minimum system for VBS2 typical usage, and is based on presently available commodities.
An archived copy of the prior version of this page will be linked below. A typical usage of VBS2 may necessitate substantially different hardware requirements than those specified below. Notes
- VBS2 is a 32-bit application, and is compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista. VBS2 is compatible with 64-bit versions of both XP and Vista and can be deployed on those systems, however it does not utilize extended 64-bit addressing.
- No specific provision or optimization is provided for multiple-GPU accelerated rendering (eg SLI, Crossfire). Any performance or quality differences are entirely controlled by the video card devices and drivers. Limited support for the PhysX library from Nvidia is being deployed within VBS2. Hardware acceleration is not required at this time. It is anticipated however that hardware acceleration of the PhysX routines will only be available on Nvidia platform video cards.
- VBS2 will only utilize a single CPU core. However, other concurrent applications may impact system performance so that dual or quad core CPU’s may be advisable for optimal performance.
- VSB2 machines running plugins should have the correct version of the C++ run-time libraries installed in order for the plugin to run properly.
