Training Using VBS3Fires

VBS3Fires is designed to meet a variety of training applications and can be run in several configurations. To facilitate this, every license of VBS3Fires can be run in one of three modes. These are: Trainee, Instructor and Stand-Alone. In summary:

    1. Standalone mode allows a single license of VBS3 to both build a call-for-fire and process it. This allows individual training without the requirement for instructor intervention.
    2. Trainee mode provides the facilities to construct and send a call-for-fire to an Instructor terminal.
    3. Instructor mode provides the tools to control the gunlines within a scenario and thereby respond to calls-for-fire.

Note:
In order to run VBS3Fires in Trainee or Instructor modes, multiple instances of VBS3Fires must be used (with at least one running in Trainee mode and one running in Instructor mode). This will require more than one license of VBS3Fires.
The next subsection details the various training configurations that VBS3Fires can be utilised in. The subsequent subsection describes the detailed features of each of the above modes.
