Worn as an ergonomic, sweat-wicking base layer, SAF-GEAR employs advanced machine learning and near instantaneous haptic feedback to protect,
support and enable military personnel during training and operations.
SAF-GEAR™ PROTECT is a lightweight base-layer garment with a software framework which supports physical training and active motion, using real time posture analytics and physical activity data collation. SAF-GEAR PROTECT enables ergonomically correct physical training to be undertaken in accordance with core or remedial exercise programs, in addition to vastly reducing injury risk (e.g. MSKI) through real-time analysis and intervention of incorrect activity technique likely to result in injury.
The SAF-GEAR PROTECT machine learning algorithms learn from the sensor readings provided by the shirt so that when a user adopts a physical position or experiences conditions that could be a precursor to an injury, immediate haptic feedback is provided to the wearer, and optionally, any Physical Instructors or supervisors.
SAF-GEAR PROTECT provides an important force protection capability reducing likelihood of injury while also collecting an auditable trail of data which can be subsequently analysed if an injury does occur. Example use cases could include:
